LetsExtract Story
Our product, LetsExtract Email Studio, has been in existence since 2002. Below, we will provide a brief history of its creation and development.
2002
As a hobby and in order to learn Visual Basic 6 programming language, Dmitry Baranov, inspired by the “Advanced Email Extractor” program, starts creating a program for extracting email addresses.
February 2004
The first version of the program is released, named “Real Email Extractor“. This program was completely free. It operated in a single-threaded mode and could extract email addresses from websites, local files, and search engines (based on keywords).
Over the following two years, the program was actively developed and received positive reviews from editors at download.com, WinSite, Chip.DE, ZDNet, and other software directories.
2011
The program becomes paid and is renamed to “Email Extractor Plus” (domain: emailextractorplus.com). It undergoes significant changes, including multi-threaded operation (up to 10 threads), a built-in email address verifier (for checking MX records), and a mode for extracting addresses from emails in the MS Outlook database. Unfortunately, the limitations of VB6 hinder further development of the program.
August 2018
This year, the brand “LetsExtract” is born. The program is renamed to Email Studio, and the website moves to the domain letsextract.com.
The program has been completely redesigned, and version 6 is released. Essentially, the project is rebuilt on the .NET Framework platform. Now, the program operates stably with multiple threads, has no limitations on the number of pages and keywords, and can run 24/7 on a server.
Active development continues throughout the years. In 2020, basic mailing features will be added to the program.
December 2023
The 7th major-version has been published. Once again the program has been completely redesigned and divided into 3 logical modules (Extractor, Verifier, Sender). Many new functions have been added. The vector of LetsExtract project development is shifting from a narrow direction of email address collection to a more complex one. LetsExtract becomes a platform for various marketing tools.
January 2025
A new multilingual LetsExtract website is launched, and the program’s interface is translated into 12 languages.
